Z-Head

The Z-Head is a very light and slim head with a 4kg payload. The head can control either LANC cameras or be fitted with a broadcast lens drive.

The Z-Head is a versatile, digitally controlled, remote head, designed to accommodate the latest range of small HDV cameras as well as broadcast remotes. It offers fully proportional pan & tilt moves and has a LANC output to control the functions of the camera. It is simple to rig and operate and fits directly onto a standard 16mm spigot mount. Using the Z-Head with various types of camera is easily possible and different control protocol can be embedded into the firmware if required. There are a number of built-in options, which are accessible depending on the controller used and also options which can be specified on order or retrofitted. A simple, single head joystick has been developed for the Z-Head to offer the essential controls at a modest price. However, any Bradley Engineering controller can control the head.
