Overview
The MC60 is a low profile short camera tracking system for both live-action moves and precise motion control applications. Being small and lightweight makes it ideal for location applications such as shooting backgrounds for later use in the studio or for repeating a move during different weather conditions or seasons of the year. All moves can be recorded and repeated at a future date.
Interface
The MC60 can be interfaced with our motion control pan & tilt heads for synchronised moves between all controlled axes. The track is entirely self contained with the drive, motor and electronics all mounted permanently together. The running gear is built inside the aluminium extruded exterior and protected from debris and damage by the moving belt. This makes it a very simple and reliable system, ideal for location use.
Time-Lapse
For time-lapse applications the unit can be set to smoothly move 3 metres in as long as 8hrs or can be set to move up to 1,000,000 individual steps in any time interval.
Stop Frame Animation
For stop-frame animation the track can be set to move any number of steps each time the Go/Stop button is pressed. Future development of this software will enable ramps to be automatically incorporated into the move.
Track Length
The MC60 is available in fixed lengths from 1 metre to 6 metres. Longer lengths may require additional structural bracing to prevent twisting of the unit. For greater rigidity 2 units can be combined and driven as one. Multiple units can also be rigged to achieve 3 axes of movement to encompass a cube up to 6m x 6m x 6m.
Control
The standard Track Controller can perform fully proportional manual moves and set 8 preset positions and moves with adjustable ramps and speeds.
Other methods of control can be used if required. |
